Of this prestigious venue originates from the very famous one Strada Postvmia, built in the Roman era with the aim of connecting the capital to the locality of the same name which today is part of the territory. It was Consul Postmio who in 148 a.C., began the construction of this road, which, crossing the Po Valley, made it possible to connect three major roads: the Via Aurelia, the Via Emilia and the Via Popilia, as well as the Ligurian Sea with the Upper Adriatic. Starting from Genoa, it reached Aquileia, crossing the Polcevera and Scriva valleys. From here, following the course of the Po, it crossed Cremona, then touching Verona, Vicenza and Oderzo Concordia.
