Very interesting from a naturalistic point of view is the visit to the nearby sources of the Sile in Casacorba, located between the provinces of Treviso and that of Padua. In addition to representing an almost uncontaminated environment, they are a real attraction for nature lovers thanks to the presence of very rare species of birds, equally rare wild orchids and the characteristic "Fontanassi" (resurgences).

The Venetian Villas

Villa Emo
The villa complex, built by the architect Andrea Palladio between 1557 and 1565 commissioned by the Venetian patrician Lunardo Emo, is inserted in the agricultural context of Vedelago, in the Fanzolo area, and includes the residence, its surroundings, the long telescope, the agricultural area, the garden and the rustic houses.

Villa Corner della Regina, Persico
The villa is located in the Venetian agricultural plain in Sant'Andrea di Cavasagra, a hamlet of Vedelago. The building appears majestic with a wide staircase adorned with statues. The villa is commonly known as Villa della Regina because it was the property of Queen Cornaro, who around the end of the 15th century was forced to cede her kingdom to the Venetian Republic in exchange for the fiefdoms of Asolo and Castelfranco. The complex then passed to the Persico family by inheritance.

Barco della Regina Cornaro
The imposing building is what remains, after the eighteenth-century destruction, of the vast complex of buildings and gardens built starting from around 1490 and based on a design attributed to Francesco Grazioli. The building is characterized by an elegant central loggia made up of five arches, with traces of geometric and architectural, but also mythological frescoes.

Villa Barbaro
The villa, built around the mid-16th century, develops horizontally, built on a two-storey central body, strongly advanced and enhanced by a facade inspired by the front of an ancient temple. The rooms of the complex were frescoed by Veronese.

Villa Cornaro
Villa Cornaro is located in Piombino Dese and was designed in 1552 by Palladio in the 16th century. This architecture marks a leap in quality in Palladio's commissioning. The monumentality recalls that of an urban residence

Castello Brandolini d’Adda
The Brandolini d'Adda Castle, now Castelbrando, is located in the municipality of Cison di Valmarino close to the foothills area. The imposing construction is made up of various buildings of different ages and characteristics. Between the end of the 19th and the first decades of the 20th century, the complex suffered considerable damage due to a fire; during the First World War it became a military hospital. The castle is today one of the largest and most functional in Italy and hosts a hotel, restaurants, a wellness centre, theatres, bars, museum areas, halls for conferences, concerts and events.

Casa Moretti, Brandolini, Marcello
The complex, probably of medieval layout, is located in the heart of the historic center of Cison di Valmarino and is made up of several buildings linked together and gravitating around a square courtyard. Today the entire complex, elegantly restored, has been converted into a hotel and restaurant and hosts events and conferences.

Villa Giustinian, Ciani Bassetti, detta Castello di Roncade
The singular complex is located in the heart of the Municipality of Roncade, within a medieval-style wall with towers. The construction of the villa is attributed to the designer Mauro Coducci who built it at the end of the 15th century. The villa is therefore pre-Palladian in character. The complex was the seat of the Italian command during the First World War and was seriously damaged during the Second World War.
